1. Memberships for Seniors

Membership fees for St. Albert Seniors (65 and over) are currently $20 per annum (family or individual). Refer to our Membership Page for further information on different types of memberships and how to go about getting a library membership.

2. Outreach Services to Seniors' Homes

Library Outreach Service provides book and audio-visual deposit collections to seniors’ residences and nursing homes in St. Albert.  Library volunteers visit the homes regularly with selections for interested home residents.  For more information on service to the homes call 780-459-1751.

3. Computer Training Classes

Whether you’re new to computers or would like to learn more about the Internet, the Library can help you gain the confidence you need to join the information generation.  Seniors new to computers, who have a library membership, may sign up for basic computer and Internet courses at the Library.  Call 780-459-1682 for more information or to sign up for classes. 4. Assistive Technology

The Library is pleased to be able to offer assistive technology devices for those with print disabilities.  Whether you suffer from low vision or are simply no longer able to hold a book, the Library has many ways to help you bring the joy of reading back into your life. DAISY books are one of the most popular, easy to use assistive technologies offered at the St. Albert Public Library.

5. Seniors' Book Club

A Seniors’ Book Discussion Club meets in the Library at 2:00 p.m. the second Wednesday of each month and is open to all interested seniors.  Call 780-459-1682 for further information or visit the Book Club page and blog for more information.

6. Large Print Collection

The Library has a growing collection of fiction and non-fiction book titles in large print format.  Browse the collection or catalogue for these titles or ask for assistance at the Adult Reference Desk (780-459-1682).  Check out a listing of large print titles added within the last 30 days!

7. Online Resources for Seniors
