Book a tour of the Children’s Library

A variety of tours are offered by Children’s Services to introduce the Library to children aged 3 to 12 years. We introduce children to the Library’s layout and explain how the materials are organized into sections to make finding things easy. We delight in getting kids excited about wonderful books and stress that staff is here to help with any quest for knowledge or enjoyment of what the Library has to offer. The older the group, the more detailed our presentation will be, including research, catalogue and internet searching. We can tailor our tours to specific themes or requests from the teacher or group leader. We offer handouts of coloring books, book marks, or other promotional material.

• Groups from Scouts or Girl Guides
• Special groups
